O tempo

Que é, afinal, o Tempo? À semelhança das três dimensões espaciais que conhecemos, é simétrico ou evolui num único sentido? A leitura de The Fabric of Cosmos: Space, Time and the Texture of Reality não me deixou esclarecido, antes me suscitou ainda mais questões relativas às duas entidades básicas da realidade: o espaço e o tempo. Leitura fascinante, difícil, por ser em Inglês e, sobretudo, pelos conceitos que envolve. Dela aqui darei conta reproduzindo excertos, num esforço (certamente vão) para eu próprio tentar entender quem somos, de onde vimos, para onde vamos.

No one has as yet found the definitive, fundamental definition of time, but, undoubtedly, part of time’s role in the makeup of the cosmos is that it is the bookkeeper of change.
